Phantom of the Opera at The Leicester Curve Theatre, 2020. Designed by Cameron Mackintosh and painted at RN Scenic Studio. The cloth, which dropped in the interval was a interpretation of The Palais Garnier Opéra national de Paris fire curtain. We painted onto black velvet and Annie Hargreaves sprayed all the folds and I painted the gold detail with a team of other painters with printing inks and binder. I painted a great deal of the central piece as well as other areas.
